Megan's Version

Mark and Megan first met innocently enough during a production of The Wizard of Oz at the Fort Peck Summer Theatre in Fort Peck, MT.  Mark was on for the summer as a set designer/company member slated to play the role of Tin Man and Megan as a local girl cast in the lead role of Dorothy Gale.  After The Wizard of Oz ended successfully, Mark & Megan went their separate ways.  Megan to school and Mark to a touring company - off to conquer the world.  The next summer they worked together in a production of Peter Pan which came and went without the two speaking more than three words to each other. Megan began thinking she didn't like Mark very much.

Fast-forward three years…. Megan & Mark are reunited in Fort Peck once again for the season.  After about a month of not hanging out- it occurred to Megan that she had never actually gotten to know Mark, and that it might be time to get to know this guy whom she had disliked for so long.  Little did she know that one night’s conversation would lead to a date, a summer fling and eventually true love.  Megan & Mark were inseparable for the rest of the summer, and when it came time for the season to end, neither were ready to give up the love they had found.  They came to the mutual decision that Mark was to move out to Seattle to be near Megan so they could see where this relationship would lead them ...

Mark's Version

Mark and Megan met in Fort Peck Montana doing summer theatre. Although most love stories begin with love at first site, this story begins with - trouble (most of my stories begin with trouble actually). Mark was definitely not on Megan's favorite person's list, but that was okay, she hadn't really ever talked to him. After about three years they finally spoke and realized they were perfect for each other. They started dating and spending all their time together. It was truly the "summer of love." At the very end of the summer, on a visit to Malta, they decided to continue their relationship. Hooray!

So, Megan left Montana and headed back to Tacoma where she was attending U.P.S. (to study the art of package delivery ... just kidding, University of Puget Sound where she majored in theatre and voice.) Mark finished up Oklahoma! at Fort Peck and then moved to Tukwila, halfway between Seattle and Tacoma. The rest as they say is history.
