REVIEW: Village Theatre's Show Boat a Ship-Shape Success  |
As Gaylord Ravenal, Richard Todd Adams, last seen locally at the Paramount in the recent run of Phantom of the Opera, easily hits the thrilling high notes Kern wrote for Ravenal, and he is matched vocally by Megan Chenovick, who never allows her Magnolia to be a conventionally simpering heroine, and the pair handle their characters' transition from their twenties into middle age with unforced ease.

Megan to play Magnolia in Show Boat at the Village Theatre  |
This summer Megan will have a chance to display her acting and classic vocal chops in Jerome Kern & Oscar Hammerstein's Show Boat. Megan will play the role of Magnolia whose character spans over forty years and sings such favorites as "You Are Love" and "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man." Save a date on your calendar between May 13th - August 2nd, 2009.
